Time
10:00 - 20:00
Location
St Luke's Poulton
Breck Road Poulton Wallasey, CH44 3BD, United Kingdom
This is our first Sportsman Beetleweight event with our new to us arena where we'll run a pilot event alongside our usual Antweight event to iron out specifics and issues relating to the logistics of the arena. We will follow FRA specified rules for Beetleweights with the following adjustments:
- No metal forks please
- Absoultely no spinners (inc drills & saws). This also includes flails.
- Standard 5% weight variances for BotFest events will be applied
Structure
This is a single knockout event with entrys for up to 8 robots on a first come, first served approach. If you want to bring Beetleweights for whiteboards, this is fine subject to standard tech checks and the above.
This is a quite laid back, community driven event, ideal for both newcomers to the sport and for experienced peeps looking to get their new designs tested before a major event like AWS. No objections to people coming to watch if so desired. Similarly, if you want to volunteer as a judge, please let me know.
Whilst this is a free to participate event (i.e. we don’t charge for the event), I highly encourage everyone to use the on-site cafe.
